Best thing about your work?

Besides getting to work remotely?  When I came to work for eCELLAR I was looking for something meaningful that aligned with my personal and professional values. The fit is great! I love empowering people. I am energized by the daily opportunities to empower our clients to simplify tasks and use of the platform more efficiently and effectively.

It is a genuine honor to be a part of our client’s growth of their brand(s).

Worst thing about your work?

That’s a hard one…. One challenge is when my dog barks and interrupts a call, be it phone or on Zoom. Sorry if you have been the ‘victim’ of that. And then there are those times when the only answer to a client is ‘no’ – I hate that.

Dream job?

When I was young, I always thought it would be cool to be a Lifeguard, a Park Ranger, or work in an outdoor retail store. Two out of three is not bad. I have been a lifeguard and worked for a Patagonia ‘sister store’. Now maybe doing one or the other on St. John in the USVI would be cool. Or a ski instructor in Tahoe.

“Game of Thrones” or “Dr. Who”?

I only know Game of Thrones as a cult TV series, and don’t know anything about Dr. Who except the little Drew has told me recently. It’s not that I am above it all, it is simply that neither are genres I appreciate. Give me an old-school superhero or WWII intrigue drama and I’m in.

Last Book Read?

Lessons in Chemistry. While the film version was good the read was a bit better. What a great story of fortitude and redemption.

Vacation: Beach or City?

If those are the only two options, the beach, as far away from the city as possible, thank you.

Single best piece of advice you have for eCELLAR users?

A client recently said, “A little extra “attention to detail” from the user makes the system quite adequate.”  With such a robust platform, you may not be able to learn it all. Take time to learn what you can and what applies to your purview. Create a culture of cross training to foster an environment of learning. “Teamwork makes the dream work.”
