To answer these and other questions, we will be joined by Wine Spectator’s Senior Editor and Napa Bureau Chief MaryAnn Worobiec. MaryAnn joined Wine Spectator in 1997 and has moved up the journalistic ladder watching the publication stay true to its mission of serving wine lovers while adjusting to new media and publishing realities of an Internet age. MaryAnn will discuss her role at the Wine Spectator, offer advice on how to effectively reach out to writers, editors and the media, and take your questions.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

MaryAnn Worobiec has been a key member of the Wine Spectator team since 1997, and in 2013, she was promoted to senior editor. She currently leads the tasting for wines from Australia and New Zealand, as well as California Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rhône-style whites.

Worobiec holds a degree in political science and sociology from The Ohio State University. Before her journey into the wine world, she worked for the Ohio House of Representatives. Her passion for wine was ignited during visits to the wineries in New York’s Finger Lakes region in the early 1990s. There, she realized that wine could be approachable and enjoyable rather than intimidating. This newfound passion led her to Northern California, where she immersed herself in the wine industry, working with people who shared her enthusiasm for wine.
